It wasn’t to be.
The cloud cover was extensive and the sun was only out for a few minutes. It had almost gone by the time I made it to the foot of the cliffs:
My initial attempt to make this photo the day resulted in burnt out highlights— I had hit the limits of the dynamic range of the Sony digital camera.
