Poetics can be seen as an expression of the experience of the urban life and space; one that is dissimilar to the early modern experience of fleetingness, speed, being uprooted; or the city as a space of passage between different world; or photography as a different mode of sensibility. What we do have is the fragmented, discontinuous, static nature of photographic images that lend themselves to a (mock-)documentary aesthetic.
