Small retail is definitely being squeezed by the decline of manufacturing industry in Adelaide and the rising unemployment. Are the offices–mostly lawyers in this part of Adelaide, moving to more modern buildings? Or are they closing down as well? It’s hard to tell, even though we know that service industries are replacing manufacturing as engines of growth.
