walking along a country road

I’ve been looking at the vegetation wondering how to photograph it. I remembered some of Lee Friedlander’s black and white pictures of shubbery and trees. They highlight the problem that I face—the images are messy and their forms or structure collapse into one another. The pictures then look confusing. They do not work as well as his highly structured urban pictures.

I’ve never solved this problem with the scrub.
