Trees was not a conscious photographic project. It slowly emerged from the poodlewalks along the various back country roads around  Waitpinga. I initially started walking these roads because they provide shade during the summer, and protection from the coastal winds.  I walked them frequently when Suzanne was away,  as I had to walk 3 dogs, and Ari, as he  became older,   could only walk on flat surfaces. Then I noticed that I was photographing trees.
