What emerged from the snapshots made on the daily poodlewalks over the same terrain was a shift in the photographic approach away from the snapshot and an emphasis on a single photograph.
It was a movement towards gathering a number of selected photographs on the same theme (bark, seascape) that were made over time together into a group. The group is not a pile of photos as the series is an exploration of an object developing from a single photo.
In a series the theme that runs through the work is stated and restated in different yet interconnected ways over a period of time. The gathering together as a series is understood as a mode of becoming or a creating something new.
