Canberra is definitely a garden city with its woodlands, residential gardens, nature strip and street trees. There rare large tracts of woodland farmland between the suburbs.
You can see the influence of Ebenezer Howard’s early 20th century garden city utopia, in which people live harmoniously together with nature on both Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin.
