walking without a digital camera

I was trying out a Rolleiflex 6008 and a wide 50mm lens and I thought that this combination would be suitable for the landscape detail. It was, but the light on the tree roots was far too bright. I needed some cloud cover to soften the sunlight. There was none and there wouldn’t be. It was one of those days.

So we continued walking around the lagoon, through the sand dunes, along the beach, then back up the estuary of Hindmarsh River to the car. Then a quick drive to the rocks at the eastern edge of Knights Beach Port Elliot.

I wanted to check out a possible image for a large format shot–standing amongst the rocks looking back up the beach–that I’d seen on a previous poodlewalk.
