There is a lack of dialogue about what we want Adelaide as a city to be; or what is the city for? Things feel brittle; the urban planning is indifferent to public spaces and is little more than developers building and selling the apartments and basically buggering off. The market (property developers) rule. And we have annual Festivals.

It’s time to leave I kept thinking. This city is not culturally dynamic. Its not the sort of place that people want to visit, move to or explore. I picked up after I came across some street art and I was more cheerful after snapping the above photo.

But where’s all that user generated content that everybody keeps talking about?
