I’m doing this kind of abstraction because it is easy in the sense that it is uncomplicated to work on the scanned positive. This allows me to concentrate on the printing side of the image. The printing for exhibitions needs to become part of my workflow.
At the moment I’m able to do tonal adjustment, spotting, but not burning and dodging or sharpening yet. I’ve basically become stuck on using layers to burn edges or do edge burn.
