Port Augusta

It was an overnight stop over. We stayed in the Shoreline caravan park next to the estuary, visited The Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden and walked with Agtet along the Red Bank Cliffs that bordered the Spencer Gulf estuary. We went up to the railway bridge and returned to the caravan park.

The medium format Linhof was struggling with the landscape. A large format camera is really needed to represent the tonal variations of this saltbush landscape. It is big and vast landscape with the Middleback Ranges as a backdrop.

I remember visiting Iron Knob–the birth place of the steel industry in Australia— but I have no photos.
