urban texture + pathos

I remembered this corner of French Street and Coromandel Place by the Historian Hotel. French Street itself had been previously marked down as possibility because of its dense mixture old and new building. It would be an example of how urban history is embedded in the architecture.

This time I was more interested in urban pathos and I thought that the Peter Drews pasteups of 1920s criminal mug shots would express that. He called the work Adelaide’s Forgotten Outlaws.
