Whilst I was walking the poodles in the Adelaide parklands, the CBD and along the coast around Encounter Bay I started to make abstractions of various kinds–rocks, tree trunks, plants, machinery. These just happened in the sense that I photographed them without consciously working on an explicit project.
That awareness emerged in the process of photographing. It resulted in the Abstract Photography: Revaluating Visual Poetics in Australian Modernism and Contemporary Practice book with Adam Dutkiewicz, which was published by Moon Arrow Press in 2016.
