There is much more activity along the Franklin Parade beach and on Franklin Parade itself: walkers, runners, people walking their dogs, or people popping into Yilki Store (it opens at 6am) for their papers and coffee.
Extensive cloud cover is needed to photograph the sea in the early morning due to the morning sun shining directly onto the beach. I was lucky the morning of this photo. It stayed overcast during the walk.
I find these early morning walks enjoyable and relaxing, especially when my day is going to be spent in front of a computer working either on the essay for Adelaide Art Photographers-1970-2000 book, or the forthcoming Mallee Routes exhibition at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery.
