Sadly, little of this vegetation remains in metropolitan Adelaide.Thankfully, the Wirranendi Bush Restoration project is working to restore the vegetation in Wirranendi as close as possible to its original form.
I’m having trouble finding anything about Apponyi extensive body of public art. I cannot find anything on the Adelaide City Council website about this intriguing work:
This is a far more vibrant and alternative model of art in public places than public sculpture that enhance Adelaide City or temporary works included in large-scale, international exhibitions and biennales. It is a moving outside the ‘traditional’ biennial model and the Lie of Land its structure and make-up works with intimate knowledge and experience of Adelaide, its urban fabric, environment, cultural scenes and communities.
