The western end of Adelaide is undergoing a massive urban redevelopment due to the Jeffrey Smart Building the SAHMRI, the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the university’s Centre for Cancer Biology on the old skate park on North Terrace. There may be even more planned by Uni of SA for its western campus.
There may be lots of new buildings going up, but there is still little in the way of street life. This part of Adelaide still feels dead.
