early autumn 2023

The early mornings are ideal weather to continue with the large format series of seascapes that I have been working. However, Maya is still too young to wait around for the 20 minutes or so that it takes me to set up the gear and to make the photo.

As I need to keep my eye on her all the time when we are out walking I cannot ignore her and put a dark cloth over my head and compose a photo looking through the ground glass of the 5×7 Cambo monorail. It’s a pity when the clouds in the early morning are great, but I have to accept it.

So it has to be digital only when I ‘m walking Maya. There is a possibility that, if there is a good overcast morning, then I could swap dogs with Suzanne and take Maleko to Rosetta Head with the monorail and she takes Maya.

However, the early mornings are now clear of clouds. It does look as if the light showers will return within the next week.
