seaside architecture

I have started to park along the Esplanade beach, then we walk along the beach to the Granite Causeway, past the Anchorage, the bowling club, Qahwa cafe and skate park, then along Bridge Terrace to the Hindmarsh River. It is an enjoyable morning walk when the wind is light.

This picture is of the state heritage listed Anchorage on Flinders Parade, a few minutes after sunrise:

The Anchorage, Victor Harbor

A big development is planned on land to the right of the heritage building–a new 5 storey hotel and conference centre. Unsurprisingly, the development has been approved by the Victor Harbor Council as it will lift Victor Harbor’s tourist profile and provide local jobs in the town. It is unclear when construction starts.
