I managed to do some film photography, and to my surprise, even some large format photography:
The large format photography is a welcome break from the editing, which I find depressing after a couple of days. It just seems so endless. It goes on and on. I realize that hardly anyone will read the text when the book is published next year. Image and text do not go together for most photographers. For them, photography is the image, not writing about photography.
I had considered this abstract possibility in the local bush for a 5×4 photo on one of my breaks:
Rather, it was roadside vegetation over the fence from the local bushland. I decided against it — on the grounds that the tonality didn’t work. I came back to this trunk several times hoping that I could somehow make it work. I just had to move on to different possibilities.
